Description
The MP-28 from Metapace is an all-purpose barcode scanner for all work areas in hospitality and retail. The area imager quickly and reliably reads 1D and 2D barcodes from paper & plastic labels, or from a smartphone display. Plus, it reliably captures digital codes from vouchers, customer loyalty cards or promotion codes, QR codes and DataMatrix. And here’s something practical: the MP-28 is equipped with both handheld and presentation mode.
The MP-28 area imager is ready to go the minute it comes from the factory. Simply unpack it and start scanning! Its various interfaces and connection cables are very extensive - among other things, it offers USB, RS-232, IBM and a keyboard wedge. With Auto-Host-Detect, the barcode scanner automatically detects its host when connected, so no further settings are necessary. It also withstands a lot: the MP-28 is resistant to multiple falls from 1.5 m onto concrete and is IP42-certified against the penetration of foreign bodies up to 1 mm and vertically falling dripping water. The MP-28 has over 90 international keyboard layouts pre-installed. It also supports simple remote management.
